After I made all of my candy, I packaged it up into these cute little Christmas tins and shared it with my friends and family. Everyone's favorite were the Oreo balls! I also made toffee which you can find a recipe for here on the oldest sister's blog!!

Chocolate Covered Pretzels EZ
These are super easy if you know how to make them the right way. When I was back at LSU, 2 of my teammates would spend a weekend making chocolate covered pretzels and chocolate covered peanut butter ritz sandwiches (yum!) I always cheat and just pour the pretzels into the pot/bowl of chocolate :)
I used:
1 bag of white chocolate chips
1 bag of chocolate chips
1 bag of pretzels
Melt the chocolate chips either on the stove or in the microwave and then dump in the pretzels. Pour onto wax paper and separate them as best you can. Let cool and share with friends!! I bagged all mine into enough bags to share with my swimmers.

Haystacks
I put little Z to work when we made these haystacks.
They are incredibly easy as long as you don't burn the chips.
All you need is:
1 package of Chinese Noodles
1 package of butterscotch chips
I'm not sure why I thought I needed this large of a pot...
Melt the chips until they are smooth. Then I do it the easy way and pour all of the Chinese noodles into the pan and stir until they're all covered. Use a spoon to scoop out golf ball sized stacks onto wax paper. Let cool, and serve!!

Oreo Cake Balls
These are one of my favorite treats, and they're simple (not easy) but simple to make
What you'll need:
1 package of oreos (the vanilla ones work great!)
1 package of chocolate chips (white chocolate works too, but is harder to melt)
1 8oz package of cream cheese
Transfer all of the oreos to a gallon baggie and roll with a rolling pin until they become a fine powder. (you can also try dumping the oreos and cream cheese into a food processor, I don't like cleaning mine so I use a baggie)
In a bowl mix the crushed oreos and cream cheese. Blend until smooth. Chill in the freezer for 1 hour! This is important!!!! They won't stay together when you dip them in chocolate if you skip this step.
Melt the chocolate chips on the stove or in the microwave and dip each oreo ball into the chocolate. Let cool on wax paper. Store in a cookie tin or in the fridge.
Ours got gobbled up before I could snap a picture...

Candy Week
Today marks the beginning of Candy Making Week! EZ's younger brother came home from college this weekend and is demanding haystacks (I've enlisted him as my sous chef). EZ requested fudge, and I'm craving Oreo balls. Toffee is a family tradition, and who could survive the holidays without chocolate covered pretzels?! Good thing I have lots of friends and family to share my goodies with! Join me everyday this week for a new recipe.

Yummy Sticky Buns
These were also a super easy breakfast to make, and I love
easy!! This recipe uses canned biscuits and a Bundt pan.
Ingredients:
2 tubes refrigerator buttermilk biscuits (we just used one because we were didn't want leftovers
3 tbs softened butter
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Nuts optional (I'm a no nut fan)
Grease a Bundt pan. Mix together the sugar and cinnamon (and nuts). In a different bowl combine the melted butter and syrup. Place half of each mixture into the bottom of the pan (syrup first). Arrange the biscuits on top with overlapping edges (the more you overlap them, the softer the inside will be, so you have to decide if you want doughy or crispy buns). Top with the remaining syrup and sugar. Bake at 375 for about 20 minutes. Flip the pan over and serve! They were so delicious. My mom always makes monkey bread during the holidays, but I think this is my new favorite!
